Pace yourself; Building a business is like running a marathon, not a sprint

Building a business is like running a marathon, not a sprint, because it’s a long-term undertaking that requires persistence, endurance, and patience. The same goes with political campaigns.

It often takes years of hard work and dedication to build a successful business or campaign, during which time there are many hurdles and challenges that need to be overcome.

A sprint, on the other hand, involves a quick burst of energy and effort, and is over in a matter of seconds or minutes. That instant gratification really doesn't exist in the world of politics and business.

Building a successful business or campaign requires a long-term approach, with a focus on planning, strategy, and execution over the long-term.

Like running a marathon, winning a campaign or building a business requires careful pacing, the ability to keep going when things get tough, and the willingness to put in the required effort and focus day in and day out.

However, the rewards of building a successful business or winning a campaign can be enormous, both personally and financially, and can provide a sense of accomplishment that lasts a lifetime.
